Practice 05
Move Kindly
Quiet focus: Compassion
Movement is often treated as punishment, performance, or something we must earn. But movement can also be a way of listening.
Your body may want energy, rest, stretching, steadiness, release, or simply a change of position. This practice is not about fixing your body or reaching a fitness goal. It is about responding with care to the body carrying you through today.
Practice Invitation
Choose a few minutes of movement that feels accessible.
You might:
- Walk.
- Stretch your arms, back, hands, or legs.
- Roll your shoulders.
- Practice a few gentle yoga positions.
- Move slowly to music.
- Stand and breathe.
- Exercise lightly.
- Rest in a position that gives your body support.
Begin gently. Notice where movement feels welcome and where your body asks for less. Adjust, pause, or stop without treating that choice as failure.
Let your body set today’s pace. A few kind minutes are enough.
