Practice 02

Walk With Wonder

Quiet focus: Curiosity

We can move through the same places so often that they become almost invisible. A tree becomes “the tree,” a street becomes “the way there,” and the sounds around us disappear beneath our thoughts.

Wonder does not require a distant place or an extraordinary discovery. It begins when we give ordinary life a little more attention.

Practice Invitation

Step outside and walk slowly for a few minutes. You do not have to go far. A yard, porch, driveway, sidewalk, hallway, park, or quiet corner is enough. If walking is not comfortable or possible, sit near a window or outdoors and let the world move around you.

Choose one thing you would usually pass without really seeing: a leaf, shadow, sound, cloud, crack in the sidewalk, bird, color, smell, breeze, texture, or small movement of life.

Stay with it for a moment. Notice its shape, movement, pattern, sound, or effect on you. Let yourself observe without needing to identify, explain, photograph, or share it.

Return when you are ready. One moment of real attention is enough.
